H.H Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi

In the health field , he endeavoured to provide comprehensive health care for everybody in the emirate , he opened the Kuwaiti hospital , and established three modern hospitals in the emirate . In the infrastructure and transportation sector , in the year 1969 Sheikh Saqr launched the paved road between Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah .

In 1971, after the proclamation of the union , he served as Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries . In 1974 and after his father’s demise , he became the Ruler of the Emirate of Fujairah , when he was only 25 years old . In his era the Emirate of Fujairah witnessed a significant development in the fields of health , education and construction , and became an important destination of tourism .
