On 2nd of December 1971 the six Emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Sharjah, Ajman, Al Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain) united to form the United Arab Emirates or UAE and on 10th Feb 1972 the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah joined the union. The capital of UAE is Abu Dhabi; the President of the UAE is
