Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum (1912 - 1990) establisher and ruler of Dubai since 1958 till his death in 7 October,1990. He was the Prime Minister of United Arab Emirates and vice president from 1971 until his death. He took part in establishing the union with H.H Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan .
Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Bin Maktoum was born in 1912 and raised under the care of his father H.H Sheikh Saeed Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum Al Flasi( related to Bu Flasa Tribe).
He received his primary education in Al Ahmediyah Public School, which was established at the beginning of this century in City of Deira, where H.H Sheikh Rashid was among the pioneer students in the class, and here are some of the accomplishments of Sheikh Rashid in the Emirate of Dubai during his rule:
