Our Allegiance To Khalifa Contest Rules

1. CONTEST: The Allegiance to Khalifa Contest (the “Contest”) is conducted and sponsored by www.ourallegiancetokhalifa.com charter. This Contest is not in any way sponsored or administered by Facebook.

2. ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for the Contest (an "Eligible Entrant"), you must:

  • have a valid and active Facebook account set up; and
  • have a valid free membership number from www.ourallegiancetokhalifa.com (the “Membership Number”); and
  • have clicked on the "like" button on the Our Allegiance To Khalifa Charter (the “Al Watiqa”) Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Our-Allegiance-to-Khalifa/171002472979800) (the "Facebook Page")
    • The Contest is void where prohibited by law.

3. CONTEST SCHEDULE: This Contest starts at 00:00 (Abu Dhabi time) on November 16th, 2011 and closes at 00:00 (Abu Dhabi time) on December 2nd, 2011. An Entry Submission (defined below) must have been received during the Entry Period to be eligible to win the Prize.

4. HOW TO ENTER: To enter, an Eligible Entrant must, during the Entry Period (from November, 16th 2011 to November, 24th), submit a Picture, Video or Poem (the “Contest Files”), that have love and appreciation to Sheikh Khalifa as main content (the “Entry Submission”). Contest Files must be submitted as E-Mail attachment to contest@ourallegiancetokhalifa.com , the same E-mail must have Eligible Entrant’s Membership Number as its subject. Each Contest File submitted, by an Eligible Entrant, during the Entry Period, in accordance with these Official Contest Rules, shall constitute an Entry Submission. An Entry Submission can only be made online as aforesaid and no Entry Submission will be accepted by any other means. All late Entry Submissions and all Entry Submissions which Al Watiqa determines in its sole discretion to be offensive, abusive, hateful, threatening, inappropriate, or harmful or potentially harmful to the reputation of Al Watiqa, will be disqualified. Al Watiqa reserves the right to disqualify and to object Contest Files based on its discretion.

5. CONTEST CATEGORIES: Each Contest Files will compete in 3 different categories: “Picture Contest”, “Video Contest” and “Poem Contest”. All Contest Files must have the only purpose to show respect, love and allegiance to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and must to mention www.ourallegiancetokhalifa.com website. Picture Contest category will include all static pictures, hand arts, graphic arts, photos submitted as Contest Files during Entry Period. Video Contest category will include all videos no longer than 10 seconds submitted as Contest Files during Entry Period. Poem Contest category will include all poems no longer than 200 words submitted as Contest Files during Entry Period. An Eligible Entrant must have copyrights on Contest Files he/she submitted. Al Watiqa will not be responsible of any Copyrights or Intellectual Right violated by Contest Files submitted by an Eligible Entrant.

6. POLL SCHEDULE: This step of Contest starts at 00:00 (Abu Dhabi time) on November 25th, 2011 and closes at 00:00 (Abu Dhabi time) on December 2nd, 2011 (the “Poll Period”). Contest Files will be posted on Facebook Page with an assigned reference number. Vote Submission must have been received during the Poll Period and must have been submitted from the website page prior to the end time. Winners of each category will be the ones who receive highest numbers of votes for each category.

7. NOTIFICATION: Al Watiqa will notify the Eligible Entrant which Entry Submission has been selected as each category’s winner in accordance with paragraph 6 above by E-Mail and will be published on www.ourallegiancetokhalifa.com website. By participating in this Contest, you consent to this method of notification.

8. DECLARATION OF WINNERS: An Eligible Entrant will not be declared a Winner until:
(a) Al Watiqa has determined that such entrant is an Eligible Entrant pursuant to these Official Contest Rules; and
(b) The Eligible Entrant correctly submitting a related category file as set out in these Official Contest Rules.

9. PUBLICATION: There will be three (3) winners, each category’s winner will be published in www.ourallegiancetokhalifa.com home page.

10. PARTICIPATION: Participation in this Contest constitutes an agreement by each participant to comply with these Official Contest Rules.

11. DISQUALIFICATION: It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure that he/she has complied in full with all of the conditions and requirements contained in these Official Contest Rules. Al Watiqa reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual (including an Eligible Entrant) who is found to be tampering or attempting to tamper with the Entry Submission process or the operation of the Contest, or any website, including without limitation any website set forth or described in these Official Contest Rules; to be acting in violation of these Official Contest Rules; or to be acting in a disruptive manner, or with the intent to disrupt or undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest, or to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Al Watiqa reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION: By entering the Contest, each entrant: (a) releases and holds Al Watiqa and their respective directors, and volunteers, harmless from and against any and all costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including, without limitation, bodily injury and property damage, or any other damage or loss, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to participation in this Contest, any Contest related activity, or from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the Prize, or participation in any Prize related activity; and (b) agrees to fully indemnify Al Watiqa and their respective directors, and volunteers, from any and all claims on the part of any third party or parties related in any way and for any reason to the Contest or to the Prize, including without limitation, death, and personal or property damage or injury.

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: Al Watiqa assume no responsibility or liability for incorrect, damaged, illegible, incomplete, mutilated, spoiled, destroyed, stolen, misplaced, lost, late, misdirected or incomplete Entry Submissions, which may be judged void, any notifications, responses, replies, or for any computer, telephone, hardware, software or technical malfunctions that may occur. Al Watiqa assumes no responsibility for any theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, Entry Submissions. Neither Al Watiqa shall be responsible for any injury or damage to participants in this Contest.

14. PUBLICITY RELEASE: By entering this Contest, each Eligible Entrant whose Entry Submission is drawn hereby agrees and grants to Al Watiqa, without further compensation, the unrestricted rights, but not the obligation, to the use his/her name, picture, portrait, likeness, voice, along with his/her address (City and Province) and any statements made by or attributed to such Eligible Entrant in any and all media, now known or hereafter devised, without notice, review or approval, in perpetuity and throughout the universe, for advertising and promotional purposes in connection with the Contest and other promotions, without further notice or compensation and releases Al Watiqa from any liability with respect thereto.

15. PRIVACY: By participating in this Contest or providing or entering your Entry Submission in accordance with these Official Contest Rules, you agree to Al Watiqa's use of your personal information for the purpose of administering the Contest.

16. PARAMOUNTCY: In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the provisions of these Official Contest Rules and the provisions contained in any website, promotional materials, documents or any other agreements respecting the Contest, the provisions of these Official Contest Rules shall prevail and be paramount.
